POWERSTROKE [Belgium]

POWERSTROKE is a Belgian Groove Metal band from the Meetjesland-Oakwood, offering a grooving mix of Thrash and Old-School Hardcore. Their music is influenced by rock, metal, stoner, punk, hardcore. On July 14th, the band has released worldwide their 3rd album entitled "In For A Penny, In For A Pound" through Mighty Music. POWERSTROKE's first gig was at a local event in May 2008. Now the band has played more than 125 shows in a few years in Europe including Belgium. Sometimes as headliner, sometimes as support of Pro-pain, Death Angel, Agent Steel to name a few. POWERSTROKE is a hard-working band that has built up a very solid live reputation because of their intensive shows and their heavy & groovin' live sound. They have debuted with the album called "Once We Were Kings" in 2010, the second album ''Awaken The Beast'' was released in 2012. Although those releases were all low-budget productions, both were well received. Two years later POWERSTROKE came back with their 3rd album featured a mixture of elements from the two previous records, containing groove, catchy riffs & vocals and powerful songs with more good quality. This record has given the band the nick-name 'The Belgian Steamroll' by Benelux medias.

POWERSTROKE は、スラッシュとオールドスクール・ハードコアをグルービーにミックスした楽曲を聴かせてくれるベルギーのミーチャスランド・オークウッド出身のグルーブメタルバンドです。ロックやメタル、ストーナーやパンク、ハードコアの影響を受けています。今年7月14日に Mighty Music より、 "In For A Penny, In For A Pound" という3作目のアルバムをリリースしています。彼らの初ライブは 2008年5月にローカルなイベント会場で行われたものでしたが、今では本国ベルギーを含めヨーロッパで 125以上のライブをこなしてきていて、ときにはヘッドライナーとして、またときには Pro-pain　や Death Angel、 Agent Steel のサポートバンドとしてステージに上がっています。集中したライブ活動とヘビーでグルービーなサウンドで、確固たる定評を築いてきたバンドです。 POWERSTROKE は 2010年の "Once We Were Kings" というアルバムでデビューしていて、2作目は2012年にリリースされた "Awaken The Beast" です。両方とも低予算で制作されたものでしたが好評でした。そして2年後、グルービーでキャッチーなリフとボーカルによる強力な楽曲に、過去2作のアルバムの要素を混ぜ込み、品質をグレードアップした3作目で戻ってきています。この3作目は、ベネルクスのメディアから「ベルギーの強硬派」というニックネームを付けられたそうです。日本では下記の amazon Japan または iTunes Japan にて購入可能です。
