ASCENSION

ASCENSION is a 5 piece Power Metal band from Scotland who Has brought a revival to guitar-driven Power Metal, in a world where Symphonic keyboards and Orchestral elements have now dominated the genre. ASECENSION formed in 2004 released three EPs "Ascension" (2005), "Moongate" (2009), "Alchemy" (2010). Actually the band was reborn once in 2009, and accompanied the Italian power metal band, BROKEN MELODY on their UK tour and also performed at Metalfest UK 2009. In the same year they released a single entitled "Durin's Bane" which was satisfactorily successful, and followed it with another single, "Listen To Your Heart" - a Roxette cover version with over 150,000 hits on YouTube. ASCENSION released their debut album "Far Beyond The Stars" Japan version in March 2012 and world version in October 2013 (through Limb Music). It was recorded at the Sonic Train Studios in Sweden, mixed and mastered by Andy LaRocque (KING DIAMOND). Fast and powerful melodies, combined with powerful, soaringl vocals and ridiculous prowess by twin guitars. Group leans towards the sound and styles of bands such as Gamma Ray, Helloween, Hammerfall and Dragonforce.

スコットランドの 5人組 パワーメタルバンド ASCENSION は、シンフォニックなキーボードや オーケストラの要素を取り入れたものが 大半を占めている昨今のメタルに ギターを駆使したパワーメタルの 復活を もたらしています。 ASCENSION は 2004年に 結成され、 "Ascension" (2005)、 "Moongate" (2009)、 "Alchemy" (2010) の 3つの EP をリリースしています。 実際には このバンドは 2009年に一度再起動していて、イタリアのパワーメタルバンド BROKEN MELODY の UK ツアーに同行したり、Metalfest UK 2009 にも参加しています。 この年には "Durin's Bane" という納得のいくシングルをリリースし、これに続く "Listen To Your Heart" (YouTube で150,000 を越えるヒットの Roxette のカバー曲) も出しています。 そして ASCENSION のデビューアルバム "Far Beyond The Stars" の 日本盤が2012年3月に、世界盤が Limb Music より2013年10月にリリースされました。 これは、スウェーデンの Sonic Train Studios でレコーディングされ、ミキシングとマスタリングは Andy LaRocque (KING DIAMOND) が手がけています。　日本盤 ・ 輸入盤 とも amazon Japan にて購入可能です。 彼らの音楽は、Gamma Ray とか Helloween、 Hammerfall あるいは Dragonforce などのサウンドやスタイルに傾倒していて、パワフルで高なるハイトーン・ボーカルと ダブルギターによる 見事な技量に、疾走感のある力強いメロディを 組み合わせています。
