FAB BOX [Italy]

FAB BOX is an Italian Melodic Rock duo formed by Fabrizio Ugolini and Massimo Bozzi. After six years from their debut album “Music From The Fab Box” (2009), FAB BOX released their second album simply titled “2” through Art Media Music in 2015. The album contains ten tracks written, arranged and produced by Fabrizio and Massimo, featuring various guest musicians such as Matteo Pantaleoni (drums), Matteo Moretti (bass), Paolo Pedretti, Paolo Gennari, Tonino "Crosby" Landini, and Gab Guma, and also teamed with Caris Arkin, Joy Salinas, and the well known bass player and producer Fabrizio Grossi. They are offering mixture of rock, pop, country and westcoast sound on the album as same as their debut album which gained enthusiastic responses. Fabrizio was a former member of the successful Italian cult hard rockers REVENGE (1982-1987) and BRANDO from Milan. Massimo worked as musician, producer and songwriter with many famous Italian pop artists such as Mina, Lucio Dalla, Biagio Antonacci and Stadio, and has also published two solo albums in late 80's. Through their connection to producer Fabrizio Grossi, they grabbed the chance to write songs for solo projects of Danny Vaughn (Tyketto) and Joseph Williams (Ex-Toto). FAB BOX は、Fabrizio Ugolini と Massimo Bozzi のふたりのミュージシャンが作ったイタリアのメロディックロックのデュオバンドです。FAB BOX は、2009年のデビューアルバム “Music From The Fab Box” をリリースしてから6年経った昨年2015年に、シンプルなタイトルの “2” というセカンドアルバムを Art Media Music よりリリースしています。作曲・編曲・プロデュース全てをこのふたりが行っているとう10曲入りのアルバムで、ドラムに Matteo Pantaleoni、ベースに Matteo Moretti、それに Paolo Pedretti や Paolo Gennari、Tonino "Crosby" Landini、Gab Guma などの様々なゲストミュージシャンが参加しています。また、Caris Arkin や Joy Salinas、有名なベーシストでプロデューサーの Fabrizio Grossi の協力も得ています。熱烈な反応があったデビュー作同様、ロックやポップ、カントリー、ウェストコーストのサウンドをミックスさせた楽曲を聴かせてくれます。Fabrizio はイタリアのカルト的ハードロックバンド REVENGE とミラノの BRANDO の元メンバーでした。また、Massimo のほうは、Mina や Lucio Dalla、Biagio Antonacci、Stadio などのイタリアの人気ポップアーティストたちと、ミュージシャンやプロデューサー、あるいは作曲家として仕事をしていて、80年代末に自身のソロアルバム2作を発表しています。プロデューサー Fabrizio Grossi との交流で、ふたりは Danny Vaughn (Tyketto) や Joseph Williams (元 Toto) のソロプロジェクト用の作曲の仕事もつかみ取っています。メロディックロックとかウェストコーストの AOR、ポップロックファンは要チェックなバンドです。新作 “2” は、日本では下記のオンラインストアにてデジタル購入可能です。
