BACKWATER [Switzerland]

BACKWATER is a Lausanne-based Hard Rock band from Switzerland formed in 2012. Roaring southern-rock vocals, high voltage guitars, and hard-driving rhythm section, this is what BACKWATER is all about. They have released their self-titled debut album in 2015 through 7Hard, and it was acclaimed. Since BACKWATER is fueled by the influence of classic-rock acts such as AC/DC, ZZ Top, CCR, Rose Tattoo, and Krokus, the influence is strongly felt in their sound. BACKWATER will release its second album entitled “Rock 'N' Roll History” independently on March 13th, 2020. As its name suggests, the new album contains 13 tracks with a taste like a full of the rock 'n' roll sound in the 70'-80's.

BACKWATER は、2012年に結成されたスイスのローザンヌに拠点を置くハードロックバンドです。サザンロックのボーカルに高圧ギター、そしてハードドライブなリズムセクション、これが BACKWATER そのものです。BACKWATER は2015年にセルフタイトルのデビューアルバムを 7Hard よりリリースしており、それは高評価されました。AC/DC や ZZ Top、CCR、Rose Tattoo、Krokus などのクラシックロックバンドの影響を受けているということで、彼らの楽曲からその影響が強く感じられます。今月3月13日には2作目のアルバム “Rock 'N' Roll History” を自主リリースします。そのタイトル名の通り、70-80年代のロックンロール・サウンドのようなテイストを持った全13曲が収録されています。
