FREDDY AND THE PHANTOMS [Denmark]

FREDDY AND THE PHANTOMS is a Hard Rock band from Denmark formed in Copenhagen in 2010. On  April 24th, FREDDY AND THE PHANTOMS will release its fifth album “A Universe From Nothing” through Mighty Music. The band will embark on a new epic chapter in the history they have been writing over the past decade. “A Universe From Nothing” was recorded in Medley Studios in Copenhagen and produced by Ken Rock aka Kenneth Skovhus and the band itself. Mix and Mastering were handled by Rune René Hansen at Rumble Room. The Medley Studios' owner, the guitar guru Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Electric Guitars), has also contributed with a masterful solo in pure Ritchie Blackmore style on the track “River Of Hate”. The new album is highly conceptual which has been inspired by both Dante's The Divine Comedy, Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time, and the world's current climate crisis. These heavy themes have also resulted in a heavier and tougher musical expression. It is a musical transformation that has sent the band into a heavy and sci-fi rock universe, but without leaving from their basic DNA of blues music behind. FREDDY AND THE PHANTOMS は、2010年にコペンハーゲンで結成されたデンマークのハードロックバンドです。来月4月24日に Mighty Music より5枚目のアルバム “A Universe From Nothing” をリリースします。過去10年間に渡り書いてきた FREDDY AND THE PHANTOMS の歴史に、新しい叙事詩の章を加えることになります。新作 “A Universe From Nothing” は、コペンハーゲンの　Medley Studios でレコーディングされ、Ken Rock こと Kenneth Skovhus とバンド自身によってプロデュースされました。ミキシングとマスタリングは、Rumble Room の Rune René Hansen が手掛けています。 Medley Studios の所有者で、ギターの第一人者である Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes、Electric Guitars) も、“River Of Hate” の曲の中でピュアな Ritchie Blackmore スタイルの見事なソロ演奏を披露しています。この新作は、ダンテの 『神曲』やスティーブン・ホーキングの 『ホーキング、宇宙を語る』、そして現在の世界の危機的な気候などに触発された非常に概念的なアルバムとなっていま。この重いテーマは、バンドによりヘビーでより力強い音楽表現をもたらしました。これは、ブルース音楽の基本的な DNA を残したまま、ヘビーで SF ロックの世界にバンドを送り込んだ音楽的変革作品と言えます。新作は、日本では下記のオンラインストアにて購入可能です。Black Sabbath や Rival Sons、Graveyard のファンは要チェックです。
