OZ

OZ is best known in the Metal World for its 1983 Fire In The Brain album and the classic 1984 Turn The Cross Upside Down single. Totally OZ have made 5 albums and one EP and been part of several split albums. OZ music has been sold with different record companies around the world during the years. 1991 OZ was taking a break from Metal Music stage, but is now back with the new line-up and stronger and better that ever. Old OZ hard core with Ape DeMartini (Lead Vocals), Jay C. Blade (Bass and Vocals) and Mark Ruffneck (Drums) is back with new guitar players Costello Hautamäki and Markku Petander.

In this Spring, OZ released the promo album Dominator and music video. This album was recorded at Park Studio in Sweden and produced by Nicke Andersson (Imperial State Electric, ex. Hellacopters, ex. Entombed). We hope OZ are considering releasing a new album soon after this. They joined in MUSKELROCK and Sweden Rock Festival in June, they will be in JALO METALLI and Lillehammer Rock Festival in this August.

OZ はメタル界では1983年のアルバム Fire In The Brain、クラシックでは1984年のシングル Turn The Cross Upside Down でよく知られているスウェーデンのバンドです。 これまで5枚のアルバムと EP 1枚を出していて、何年も世界中の異なるレコード会社から販売されてきています。 20年前の1991年にメタルシーンから遠ざかってしまいましたが、新しいメンバーによるかつてないほどのパワフルなサウンドを携えて今年見事にカムバック！ 当初のメンバー Ape DeMartini (Lead Vocals) や Jay C. Blade (Bass and Vocals)、 Mark Ruffneck (Drums) に、新たに Costello Hautamäki と Markku Petander がギタリストとして加わっています。

今年春、Promo Album DOMINATOR と 同名のミュージックビデオをリリースしました。　スウェーデンの Park Studio でレコーディングを行い、 Nicke Andersson (Imperial State Electric、元 Hellacopters、元 Entombed) がプロデュースを手掛けています。 このプロモアルバムをきっかけにドドーンと1枚出してもらいたいところです。 6月には WARRANT などと MUSKELROCK に、Ozzy Osbourne、Judas Priest、Whitesnake など多くのビッグバンドが出演する有名なイベント Sweden Rock Festival にも参加しました。8月には JALO METALLI と、JORN、HAMMERFALL などと Lillehammer Rock Festival に参加する予定になっています。
