SARACEN 7作目のアルバム "Recemption" 9月19日リリース

Veteran NWOBHM band SARACEN will release their 7th album "Redemption" on September 19th through Escape Music. In 1976, life long pals Richard Lowe and Rob Bendelow formed their first band LAMMERGIER together with folk guitarist turned rock bassist Barry Yates. The name changed to SARACEN in the early 80’s, but the music remained the same; an ever growing repertoire of powerful guitar orientated rock, laced with lush keyboards and evocative vocals. After the release of the concept album "Marilyn" (2011) which was based on the life and times of Marilyn Monroe, Paul Bradder and Steve Bettney challenged Rob Bendelow to write a 'back to our roots' SARACEN album and this "Redemption" is the result. This new album also includes complete re-works of two anthems from their debut album (1981) entitled "Heroes, Saints and Fools", namely "Crusader" and "Ready To Fly". Track no.2 on the album "Reacher" was inspired by "Jack Reacher" (2005) which is the fictional creation of best-selling author Lee Child and was adapted to the screen in 2012. "Redemption" was produced by Tommy Hansen (Circus Maximus, Jorn, Pagan's Mind, Helloween) of Jailhouse studios in Denmark.

NWOBHM のベテランバンド SARACEN の7作目のアルバム "Redemption" が、9月19日 Escape Music よりリリースされます。 生涯の友である Richard Lowe と Rob Bendelow が、フォークギタリストから ロックのベイシストに転向した Barry Yates と共に 最初のバンド LAMMERGIER を結成したのは、1976年のことでした。 80年代初期にバンド名を SARACEN に変更していますが音楽スタイルは変わっていません。 2011年に Marilyn Monroe の生涯を題材にした コンセプトアルバム "Marilyn" をリリース後、Paul Bradder と Steve Bettney は、Rob Bendelow に SARACEN の 「原点に戻る」 アルバム制作を依頼し、それがこの "Redemption" です。 この新作には、1981年の "Heroes, Saints And Fools" という デビューアルバムから "Crusader" と "Ready To Fly" の2曲も 再制作され収録されています。 アルバムの2曲目の "Reacher" は、ベストセラー フィクション作家 Lee Child の2005年の作品で、2012年には映画化もされた "Jack Reacher" からインスピレーションを受けています。 今作の "Redemption" は デンマークにある Jailhouse Studios の Tommy Hansen (Circus Maximus、 Jorn、 Pagan's Mind、 Helloween) のプロデュースです。
