WAVERLY LIES NORTH is a French Symphonic Metal band born from the collaboration of twin brothers Edouard and Julien Mehay (drums and guitar). They have composed music combining with various elements of their influences from symphonic metal, thrash and heavy metal, as well as classical and film music, and the first result was "A Soul In The Void" recorded at their own studio, turned out to be a demo version signed under the Brennus Music Label in 2013. While their playing at the concerts, also started a collaboration with the author Mat Wongraven to meet the requirements of their concept. The demo version was recorded again with a new vocal arrangements by a new singer Eric Pariche (Super Scream, former member of Darjeeling), adding a track "Aria Nocturna" which can be seen as a music video, featuring the soprano singer Audrey Escots who took part into their concept, and was released at the end of April 2014.
WAVERLY LIES NORTH は、双子の Mehay 兄弟 (ドラムの Edouard とギターの Julien) の共同企画として作られた フランスのシンフォニックメタルバンドです。 シンフォニックメタルやスラッシュ、ヘビーメタル、あるいは クラシックや映画音楽などの様々な要素を組み合わせて 曲作りを行ってきていて、その最初の作品が、自分たちのスタジオで収録した "A Soul In The Void" で、2013年の Brennus Music との契約に結び付いたデモ盤でもあります。 彼らはコンサート活動の傍ら、自分たちのコンセプトに沿ったものにするため 作家 Mat Wongraven と手を組みます。 そのデモ盤は、新しいボーカル Eric Pariche (Super Scream、 Darjeeling の元メンバー) により ボーカルパートのアレンジと、ミュージックビデオにもなっている "Aria Nocturna" の曲が追加され、彼らのコンセプトに賛同したソプラノ歌手 Audrey Escots をフィーチャーして、2014年4月末にリリースされました。 日本では、下記のオンラインストア または iTunes Japan でデジタル購入可能です。
