BITE THE BULLET: Can Be Anything

Danish rock act BITE THE BULLET will release worldwide their 3rd album “Can Be Anything” through Mighty Music on March 24th. Since the band formation in 2012, they have played together fuzz rock influenced from the seventies-rock band literally 'bite the bullet' in their many shows, and been delivering their riff-driven retro sounds with blistering electro beats and charming pop-hooks. Although the mindset for the new album is also a radically different than the previous two albums, this new album is a wild, charming and danceable version of acid pop. The thundering drums are still murky and rough, but the Jack White styled guitar riffs have been exchanged for vintage synths, cold reverb and hook-filled choruses. The first single “Sweet Honey” has gotten regular airplay on Danish National radio P6 BEAT and they have performed live throughout Denmark as a support for a blues rock band The Blue Van in late 2016.

デンマークのロックバンド BITE THE BULLET は、3月24日に Mighty Music より3作目のアルバム “Can Be Anything” を世界リリースします。日本では下記のオンラインストアにて購入可能です。彼らは2012年のバンド結成以来、一緒に多くのライブで文字通り 「歯を食いしばって」 70年代のバンドから影響を受けたフィズロックを演奏し、強烈なエレクトロビートとノリのいいポップなフックでリフ重視の懐かしいサウンドを聴かせてくれています。これまでの2作とは根本的に考え方も異なりますが、今作は野性的かつ魅力的でダンス向きバージョンの辛辣なポップアルバムとなっています。轟くドラムはただただ荒く、Jack White ばりのギターリフはビンテージシンセやコールドリバーブ、あるいはフックいっぱいのコーラス用に変更されています。このアルバムからの最初のシングル曲 “Sweet Honey” はデンマーク国営ラジオ P6 BEAT で定期的にオンエアされ、2016年後半にはブルースロックバンド The Blue Van のサポートとしてデンマーク全土でライブを行っています。
